Thank you for your interest in volunteering at André House! Whether you are interested in volunteering one time, once a month, or every week, we have a volunteer opportunity that is right for you. André House relies on volunteers to sustain our ministry. Without you, we would not be able to meet the various needs that exist in downtown Phoenix. We have over 10,000 volunteer shifts available annually. We are incredibly thankful for each and every individual who volunteers with us. We feel blessed to work alongside you in accomplishing our mission.
André House’s primary volunteer opportunities:
1. Dinner Service
We serve between 500-700 meals, 6 nights a week, Saturday through Thursday. André House is closed on Fridays.
- The minimum age requirement to volunteer on our Dinner Service is 14 yrs.
- We ask our volunteers to be at the Hospitality Center from 3:00pm to 7:15 pm.
- The work includes: food preparation, dish washing, food service and clean-up.
- INDIVIDUAL volunteer shifts are scheduled through our online volunteer landing page at: www.andrehouse.volunteerhub.com
- GROUP Volunteering: We schedule groups of up to 10 volunteers.

For availability starting August 30th, Find a date that has enough volunteer spots for your group.

2. Sorting clothing & donations
Volunteers sort through clothing donations, sorting toiletries, organizing shelves, and folding & stacking blankets.
This is available on Saturdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Starting Saturday September 4, 2021
All volunteer times must be scheduled in advance…no drop-in’s please.
3. Organize a donation drive or host a fundraiser to help André House
This is a great way to make a lasting contribution. We accept donations of:

- clothing

- toiletries
-
- back packs
-
- blankets and sleeping bags

PLEASE NOTE ALL GROUPS OF ITEMS MUST BE BAGGED OR BOXED to be accepted. We must be able to off load quickly and easily due to our staff and time limitations
4. Help with morning and afternoon services.

We have a number of ongoing, committed opportunities assisting with some of our daily services: showers, laundry, clothes closet, donation sorting

5. Join us on Core Staff
Each year a Core Staff of 7-9 people take responsibility for the daily tasks of André House. This is a year-long full-time commitment.
